SINGING IN THE MOUNTAINS - POSTPONED UNTIL 2014

What begin as a thought has transpired into an annual evening of worship through music and song. In 2002, Maron Buice had an idea of gathering quartets, musicians, and a choir for an old-fashioned “singing in the mountains”. With the help of Eric Chastain and Patrick Lindstrom that vision became a reality in Spring, 2003. Now, this annual event, that occurs the 2nd Saturday in July, has became a stronghold for close to 1,000 people each year. We invite you to join us this year for a wonderful evening of praising and worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. From toe-tapping southern gospel to classic traditional hymns and anything else in between. There will be something that will bless your heart and an experience you will not forget!

Directions to the Fannin County Performing Arts Center

Directions from Canton:

Take I-575 north and it will become Appalachian 515. You will pass through Pickens County, Ellijay and into Fannin County.

At the first light in Fannin County take a right at "June Walker Chevrolet" and go less than 1⁄2 mile. Take a right at Rebel Circle. This is the main entrance to Fannin County High School. Bus parking is straight ahead and to the left of the tennis courts. Spectator parking is located around the auditorium. The Auditorium is on your left. Allow an hour from Canton, 45 minutes from Jasper and 15 minutes from Ellijay.

Directions from Blairsville:

Take hwy 515 south toward Blue Ridge. In Blue Ridge, the 5th traffic light is the intersection of hwy 515 and hwy 5. McDonalds will be on your left. Stay on hwy 515 and continue south past McDonalds. Take a left at the next traffic intersection by “June Walker Chevrolet” and go less than 1⁄2 mile. Take a right at Rebel Circle. This is the main entrance to Fannin County High School. Bus parking is straight ahead and to the left of the tennis courts. Spectator parking is located around the auditorium. The Auditorium is on your left. Allow 30 minutes travel time from Blairsville.

Directions from Gainesville:

In Gainesville, take hwy 53 toward Dawsonville. You will cross hwy 400 traveling on hwy 53. Take hwy 183 toward Ellijay. Be sure to continue toward Ellijay and NOT TATE. You will take hwy 52 West (left) that will lead to hwy 515.

In Ellijay, take Appalachian Highway 515 North (right) and go approximately 12 miles.

Allow an hour and a half travel time from Gainesville

Some GPS systems do not recognize 360 Rebel Circle. Alternate GPS addresses: 2346 East First Street or 2290 East First Street.
